MEKA Contributes to Georgia's Hydroelectric Developments

In recent years, a significant increase has been observed in the number of large construction projects in Georgia. Thanks to its geographical advantages, the country benefits greatly from natural energy sources. Hydroelectric Power Plants (HPPs) play an important role in meeting Georgia's growing energy demands. The fact that more than 70 HPPs are already in operation and many more are being planned shows that the sector is experiencing dynamic growth.

In 2023, two important HPP projects were started in the Guria region of western Georgia. These plants, with capacities of 9 MW and 11 MW respectively, are planned to be completed at the end of 2025. The realization of these projects was given to a construction company known for its expertise in the field — and this company once again chose MEKA.

To meet the concrete needs of these important projects, the MEKA  Mobile Concrete Batching Plant 100M  was chosen. The 100M model, which has a production capacity of 100 m³ per hour and can produce 2.25 m³ of fresh concrete in each batch, can fill a 9 m³ transit mixer in just four batches. Its hot-dip galvanized components, especially the weighing group, guarantee that this model operates comfortably even in tough environments such as forests. In addition, the plant has an aggregate pre-feeding system that eliminates the need for a ramp, which offers the possibility of working in compact areas. The interior walls of the mixer are lined with high-wear-resistance NiHard material, which provides long-lasting performance and minimum maintenance.

Taking part in such important projects in Georgia and around the world strengthens our commitment to excellence. As an official R&D centre, MEKA continues to develop and offer the best solutions to our customers.
