Compact Sand Plants

Compact sand plants are designed for aggregate producers and mining companies requiring a fines recovery plant to support their existing operations by reducing the volume of fine material reporting to the settling pond. The range uses centrifugal force within the cyclone(s) to remove clay, silt and slime from sand to bring it into specification and combines a collection tank, centrifugal slurry pump(s), hydrocyclone(s) and a dewatering screen on a single chassis.

Applications

MEKA Compact Sand Plants can be introduced to quarrying, recycling and mining operations where the following materials are being processed through a washing plant:

    • Sand & Gravel

    • Crushed Rock

    • Crusher dust

    • Iron ore

    • Other mineral ores

  • Construction & Demolition Waste Material
Why MEKA Compact Sand Plants?
  • 4th Generation Hydrocylones make better separation
  • Facilitates highly accurate separation of silts and clays from the final washed sand product.

  • Replaceable rubber liners for Hydrocyclone and Pump
  • Rubber lined pipework ensures maximum wear resistance to minimise lifetime cost of ownership.

  • Efficient Screening
  • High frequency vibrating motors ensure a high power to area ratio ensuring the most efficient dewatering of your sand product.

  • Discharge from top of the unit allows for gravity feed into thickener
  • Cyclone overflow containing waste material is discharged at the highest point of the plant which facilitates easy delivery to water treatment phase.

What is Compact Sand Plants?

The compact sand plant is a unit which comprise of cyclone, pump and dewatering screen on one chassis used to improve sand quality.

Types of Compact Sand Plants
This type unit is a sand treatment unit that pumps the water and sand mixture coming as slurry to the cyclone by means of a pump, where silt and clay are removed and the moisture content of the sand is reduced by removing the water in the dewatering screen
How Does Compact Sand Plants Work?
Sand with water as slurry is fed into the sump tank. The slurry is pumped into the cyclone by a slurry pump, the silt and clay together with the water leave the cyclone from the top, while the sand is fed from the cyclone bottom outlet to the dewatering screen to remove the water in the sand.
Advantages of Using Compact Sand Plants
*Lower investment cost than traditional washing plants due to their compact , quick and easy set up.
*Increases fine recovery in sand washing and treatment process.
*These units are engineered to deliver high - quality sand.
*Can produce two different sizes and grades of sand as needed.
Compact Sand Plants Processes Applications
In particular the removal of impurities such as clay and silt in the sand and the supply of sand in the desired specifications.
