A Thank-You from the School We Supported in Şanlıurfa

MEKA Global, which attaches great importance to social responsibility work related to education, prefers not to use its activities in this area for corporate communications. Yet the feedback we sometimes receive both encourages us to increase our work on this subject and nourishes our hopes for the future. Amid agendas such as product development, production planning, dealer meetings and after-sales services, the letter sent by a teacher regarding the book support we provided for a school library in Şanlıurfa reminded us of our reason for being. MEKA Global exists to add value to the land where it was born and to humanity; there is nothing that education cannot achieve, and the prosperity of our country will come only through education.

The books you sent have made both us and our students exceedingly happy. I wholeheartedly believe they will make a great contribution to our children — the assurance of our future — becoming individuals who are free of superstition and hearsay, knowledgeable on subjects such as faith, homeland, nation, Atatürk and morality, mature in their moral character, and beneficial to themselves and those around them. On the path of life, which begins with birth and ends with death, humankind is in constant change, constant development and renewal. In this change, development and renewal, the share of reading and of acquiring knowledge is undoubtedly the greatest.
