MEKA Vertical-Shaft Crusher at 0° 0′ 0 Latitude, at the Centre of the World

The MEKA closed-rotor, rock-on-rock (ROR) type Vertical-Shaft Crusher MVI 90 was commissioned at the centre of the world for a limestone crushing plant.

The Meka MVI90 crusher has a tested and proven rotor that works like a high-speed dry-stone pump continuously throwing stone.

The material fed over the machine accelerates inside the rotor and is continuously thrown into the crushing chamber at a speed of 50–75 m/s. This process forms a stone lining and at the same time generates the MVI90 crushing and grinding chain reaction.

This, together with other variables such as the rotor diameter, rotor speed and crushing-chamber profile, increases power efficiency, reduces wear, and — by providing effective control in the grinding and crushing process — can minimize or maximize the fine material.
