Tek-İmaş Expands in Africa with MEKA’s C60 Concrete Batching Plant in Niger

Tek-İmaş, one of Turkey’s prominent contracting companies, continues to strengthen its footprint across international markets. In its latest venture, the company — together with local partners in Niger — has entered the ready-mix concrete sector, choosing MEKA as its trusted equipment supplier once again.

The strong partnership between Tek-İmaş and MEKA dates back to 2012, when the two companies collaborated on a hospital project in Iraq. Tek-İmaş representatives stated that the high quality of MEKA equipment and, more importantly, MEKA’s uninterrupted after-sales support during that project played a key role in their decision to continue working with MEKA for this new investment.

The project also incorporates a custom engineering solution tailored to local site conditions. Since cement in the region is supplied in paper bags rather than in bulk, MEKA engineers designed and integrated a special Paper Bag Cement Transfer System into the standard MEKA C60S Compact Concrete Batching Plant. This innovative system ensures fast, clean, and loss-free transfer of cement from bags to silos, significantly improving operational efficiency and workplace safety.

With its 60 m³/h production capacity, the MEKA C60 Compact Concrete Batching Plant offers high performance in a compact form. Designed for containerized transport, it requires minimal installation space and ensures easy relocation — a key advantage for international contractors operating in remote or developing regions.

The newly established facility will play a strategic role in supporting Niger’s growing construction and housing sectors. By ensuring a reliable local supply of high-quality ready-mix concrete, the plant will directly contribute to faster, safer, and more consistent project execution — particularly in healthcare and residential developments. Beyond concrete supply, the project’s broader impact includes enhancing construction quality standards, accelerating public infrastructure delivery, and supporting the region’s economic growth.
