MEKA K135 Stationary Concrete Batching Plant Commissioned in Azerbaijan

One of Azerbaijan's largest ready-mix concrete producers has expanded its production capacity with a new MEKA K135 Stationary Concrete Batching Plant, now installed and commissioned. As a fixed-site stationary plant, the K135 was selected for sustained, high-volume output to serve the producer's ongoing infrastructure and construction work across the country.

The producer's priority was a plant that could run continuously through a heavy daily schedule. To support that, the installation was built up with a full complement of cement-handling and storage equipment rather than a minimal configuration, so that material supply to the mixer would not become a bottleneck during peak production.

Cement Handling and Storage Configuration

The plant's cement-handling side was sized for that workload. Four bolted 100-tonne cement silos were installed, each fitted with a Zero-type silo top filter to capture dust during pneumatic filling and keep emissions controlled. Cement is fed by four 273 x 15,000 mm screw conveyors, delivered as a complete silo equipment set to keep flow to the mixer steady. Aggregate is stored in a 4x25 KTR aggregate bunker, fitted with a single-sided service platform so operators can reach the bunker for maintenance and inspection safely and with easier access. The control room sits in a 2.15 x 4.00 x 2.65 m cabin, giving operators a wider, more ergonomic working space.

Automation and Local-Language Control

On the control side, the MCC panel and automation system were configured specifically for the four large screw conveyors and sized for the higher current their motors draw. The full software interface was prepared in Azerbaijani, so site operators can run the K135 in their own language and reduce the risk of input errors.

With this installation, MEKA continues to support Azerbaijan's ready-mix sector and the long-term supply needs of its infrastructure and construction market.
