MEKA — preferred in recent years in the construction, ready-mixed concrete and precast concrete sectors in Côte d'Ivoire and rapidly increasing the number of plants installed in the country — is preparing to set up a high-capacity ready-mixed concrete production unit in the capital, Abidjan.
For a Lebanese company operating in the construction and ready-mixed concrete sector in Côte d'Ivoire, the production of plants that will operate in two lines with a capacity of 2×140 m³/hour has been completed. The company, one of the country's largest ready-mixed concrete producers, which has completed the infrastructure work for the plants to be shipped to Abidjan in the coming days, chose MEKA because of its production capacity and the importance of the project.
Each of the MB-K140 model plants, which will make an important contribution to the concrete supply in Abidjan, is equipped with high-performance 3.33 m³ mixers that provide a highly homogeneous mixture.
The fully automatic concrete batching plants, whose aggregate feeding is provided by a 5-compartment aggregate bin each 25 m³ in volume, are designed in a compact structure alongside their high capacity and require a minimum land size for installation.
Because of the high humidity level in Côte d'Ivoire, against the risk of oxidation, the plant's main-chassis load-bearing construction, all the water, cement and admixture weighing groups on the mixer, and all the main-chassis walkways, railings and stairs have been produced completely hot-dip galvanized.
In addition, galvanizing has been applied to the aggregate discharge chutes located beneath the plant's aggregate bin, to the aggregate batching bin and to the aggregate weighing conveyor.
MEKA, which is also preferred by precast concrete producers, meets with MEKA users in Côte d'Ivoire by carrying out periodic field visits in the country with its technical and expert staff. A MEKA user that is one of the important precast concrete producers in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, was also visited by our teams in recent days. The user of the MB-60P model MEKA concrete batching plant, with a 1.0 m³ planetary mixer, which has continued production uninterruptedly since the day it was installed, expressed its satisfaction with the high efficiency of the plant.
