MEKA K145 Signature in the Esenboğa 3rd Runway Project
As MEKA Global, we have completed the sale and delivery of our K145 compact concrete batching plant to be used in TRIO Steel's works within the scope of the 3rd runway construction at Ankara Esenboğa Airport. Designed for continuity and quality in high-standard projects such as airports, the K145 offers 140 m³/h capacity, a twin-shaft mixer producing 3.33 m³ per cycle, and a fully automated control infrastructure. In addition, its hot-dip galvanized structure and compact design suitable for container transport provide fast installation on site and long service life.
The project’s most visible milestone took place recently: Esenboğa Airport’s 3rd runway (3,750 m) and the new 77 m air traffic control tower were officially opened on 19 January 2026. According to the Ministry’s statements, with the capacity increase, the airport’s annual passenger capacity is targeted to reach 30 million, and the total investment size was announced as EUR 298 million. At the opening ceremony, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan emphasized that, in line with growing demand, Esenboğa requires greater capacity and higher standards, and stated that the project was realized without “a single penny” coming out of the public treasury. He also underlined Türkiye’s aviation growth vision, noting that the country is moving “towards the future with new hopes and bigger goals.”
