MEKA Supports the Healing of the Earthquake Region with Its Concrete Batching Plants

MEKA, with the more than 30 concrete batching plants it has recently installed in the earthquake region, continues to contribute to the reconstruction of both the superstructure and the infrastructure of the region.

Most recently, MEKA engineers installed and successfully commissioned 1 concrete batching plant in Nurdağı, Gaziantep, and 1 in Payas, Hatay, for our customer, one of the contractors of the General Directorate of Highways. These concrete batching plants will be used in the repair and strengthening projects of roads and viaducts damaged by the earthquake.

The one commissioned in Payas, Hatay is a C 100 Compact Concrete Batching Plant with a concrete production capacity of 90–100 m³/hour. Thanks to its compact structure, the C 100 Compact Concrete Batching Plant can be installed on a smaller area; thanks to its special steel legs, it can be installed completely on ground (zero) level, and there is no need to build a special footed concrete foundation. This plant, which can be quickly installed and quickly dismantled, is preferred in projects requiring frequent relocation.

It has a 4×25 m³ In-line-Type Aggregate Bin and a 2.25 m³ MEKA Twin-shaft mixer. The main chassis on which the mixer is located is produced completely hot-dip galvanized. On the main chassis, the cement-water-admixture scales, the platforms, stairs and railings are produced completely galvanized.

The aggregate discharge chutes, weighing hopper, weighing conveyor and safety guards of the 4×25 m³ In-line-Type Aggregate Bin are produced completely hot-dip galvanized. The use of galvanized units protects the plant against corrosion and external effects and significantly extends its service life.

With the SIEMENS PLC and special SIEMENS Siwarex weighing modules used in MEKA plants, weighing precision is provided at the highest level, and with the special concrete batching plant production software developed by MEKA software engineers, all production and dispatch reports can easily be obtained in detail.

The same customer, who purchased 2 concrete batching plants for the earthquake region and was very satisfied, also placed an order with MEKA for a 3rd C 100 Compact Concrete Batching Plant for its project in Artvin.
