Advanced-Technology Crushing-Screening Plant in Bou Saâda, Algeria

Advanced-Technology Crushing-Screening Plant in Bou Saâda, Algeria

For a company operating in the Bou Saâda region of Algeria, which — in addition to aggregate production — manufactures concrete, concrete blocks and precast building elements, MEKA has successfully commissioned a crushing-and-screening plant with a capacity of 400 tonnes per hour. The company, which is the region's largest concrete-block and paving-stone producer, stands out with an integrated and sustainable production structure by also using the aggregate it offers to the market in its own facilities.

This high-capacity plant, where limestone is processed, is designed to provide uninterrupted and efficient production even in tough quarry conditions. To allow large stones to be fed directly and in a balanced way, an MPF 1020 pan feeder and an MGF 1460/40 grizzly feeder were used together with a 40 m³ feed bunker. The MPI 1515 model primary impact crusher, which serves in the primary crushing stage, forms the main power of the plant with its high capacity and reliable performance, while the material flow after crushing is optimized by being passed through a heavy-duty MSH 1540/2 inclined screen.
The MSI 1115H secondary impact crusher used in the secondary crushing stage improves the final product quality and meets the aggregate standards required for concrete and precast production. The screening processes are completed with the MS 2460/4 inclined screen, and thanks to the belt conveyor system throughout the plant, the material flow is managed in a controlled and efficient manner. The entire operation of the plant is monitored and managed centrally with modern electrical and control equipment.

With this investment, the company now has one of the highest-capacity crushing-and-screening plants in the Bou Saâda region and has significantly increased its production capacity. Thanks to its large-stone feeding capability, time and cost savings are achieved in quarry operation, while high-tonnage, quality aggregate production has both increased its competitiveness in the market and secured production continuity in its own concrete and precast facilities.
The positive field experience gained from the MEKA crushers used previously played an important role in the company's choosing MEKA once again in this project. In addition to high capacity, a long-life mechanical structure and stable performance, MEKA's strong references in the public and private sectors across Algeria and its effective after-sales support network were among the main factors supporting the investment decision.

As a strong example of the high-performance, reliable and long-term crushing-and-screening solutions that MEKA offers in the North African market, this project provides significant added value to the aggregate and concrete industry in the region.
