The company Mobile Concrete Solution provides on-site concrete to projects in hard-to-reach areas with its mobile solutions at various locations in Scotland and England.
It responds to the concrete needs of projects likely to be built in isolated areas — such as hydroelectric and wind turbines — with the 100 m³ MB-100M Mobile Concrete Batching Plant.
Mobile Solutions
Projects such as wind turbines, dams and hydroelectric power plants are built in areas that are difficult in terms of access. This emerges as a factor that makes the supply of materials difficult for these projects. At this point, in order to respond to customers' demands, Breedon Aggregates — which has a total of 40 concrete batching plants and 27 quarries in Scotland and Central England — established the Mobile Concrete Solution (MCS) company in partnership with TSL, the United Kingdom's largest independent aggregate and special construction services company. In this way, with their mobile solutions, they can supply concrete to projects on site or from the nearest location.
In this context, MCS works with SSE, England's leading wind-turbine investor. One of the ongoing investments of the company, which specializes in energy services, is the Calliachar wind farm being built in Scotland. The Calliachar wind-turbine project, which began in January 2012, is planned to be completed within 2013. The delivery of the turbine components — one of the important phases of the project, which has a total of 14 wind turbines — began on 21 November 2012. Approximately 400 m³ of concrete is needed for the foundation of each wind turbine, and the concrete need of this project is met with the Meka Mobile Concrete Batching Plant.
With the MB-100M Mobile Concrete Batching Plant with a capacity of 100 m³/hour that the Mobile Concrete Solution company has, in addition to quality concrete production, thanks to the advantages provided by the aggregate pre-feeding system and the silo steel-leg options, the installation cost is minimized and it can be moved to a different location within 1 week.
