C30 Concrete Batching Plant for Zinc and Lead in North Macedonia

C30 Concrete Batching Plant for Zinc and Lead in North Macedonia

MEKA engineers installed a new C30 Compact Concrete Batching Plant for a zinc and lead mine in North Macedonia. This mine is the largest underground mine operating in the Republic of North Macedonia. It is located approximately 150 km east of the capital, Skopje, and 12 km north of Makedonska Kamenica.

Our customer — one of the largest mining companies in North Macedonia, part of international metal companies headquartered in London, England — chose MEKA quality for the needs at their mines. The C30 Compact Concrete Batching Plant installed at this mine has a concrete production capacity of 30 m³/hour. This plant has a 0.5 m³ Meka Single-Shaft mixer that can easily produce all kinds of concrete. To protect the aggregates from environmental effects, there are 4×7 m³ cross-type aggregate bins with openable top covers. MEKA also installed 2 microwave-type moisture probes for 2 sand compartments to control the moisture content in the sand.

The C30 Compact Concrete Batching Plant is equipped with a skip-hoist aggregate bucket to use the mine site more efficiently and to make the plant more compact. The plant has a 75-tonne bolted-type cement silo and its equipment. The plant has an advanced MEKA Software system created by MEKA's own software engineers, and a SIEMENS PLC-based Fully Automatic Control System.
