MEKA IN KOSTI CITY, SUDAN FOR A WATER TREATMENT PLANT PROJECT

The governments of Japan and Sudan signed an agreement for a water treatment plant in Kosti City

The objective of the Project is to upgrade the capacity of water supply in Kosti city through construction of water treatment facility

Although Sudan is one of the richest countries in water resources, it faces a variety of challenges in the water sector such as the outdated water networks and the poor access to water.

The project will raise the capacity of the existing plant. The new treatment plant will provide approximately 23,700m3 of water per day.

Big Japanese company has chosen MEKA and a MB-K30 Compact Concrete Batching Plant has been installed to meet the requirement of 12.000 m3 of concrete in 12 months. MB-K30 is a very compact, easy to transport and to install batching plant.

The project will be completed in 2021 and is expected to provide clean water to around 380,000 people by 2024.
